1. About Movaroo
Movaroo is a moving organisation and inventory management application available on iOS and Android. It allows individuals, families, and professional moving companies to track boxes and belongings using QR code labels, manage inventory, create moving checklists, and collaborate with team members throughout the moving process.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account Information
When you create a Movaroo account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. This is required to provide you with a personalised and secure experience.
Inventory & Moving Data
We store the inventory items, box descriptions, QR codes, locations, rooms, projects, checklists, and tags you create within the app. This data belongs to you and is processed solely to provide the Service.
Team & Collaboration Data
If you invite team members (family, friends, or movers), we store the email addresses of those invitees and their relationship to your project.
Photos & Images
If you upload photos of your inventory items, those images are stored securely in our cloud storage. We do not analyse or share these images with third parties.
Subscription & Payment Information
Subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details directly. We receive confirmation of your subscription tier from the platform provider.
Usage & Analytics Data
We use Mixpanel to collect anonymised usage analytics (e.g. features used, session duration). This data does not identify you personally and is used solely to improve the Service.
Device Information
We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version to provide technical support and improve compatibility.

- Service Providers: We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, and Cloudflare for content delivery. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Analytics: We share anonymised usage data with Mixpanel for product analytics.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
